Orbit

The path of one body around another, like Earth’s orbit around the Sun

Real World Example

Imagine trying to keep a hula hoop spinning around your waist without it falling. Just like you have to keep moving your hips in a rhythmic way to maintain the hula hoop's circular path, Earth moves in a precise, continuous path around the Sun. The connection here is that both the hula hoop and Earth's orbit rely on a balance of forces: with the hula hoop, it's your movement and gravity; with Earth's orbit, it's the gravitational pull of the Sun and Earth's forward momentum.
