Imagine you're at a busy airport, waiting for your luggage to arrive on the carousel. Just as the luggage is released from the plane and makes its way to the carousel for you to claim, during ovulation, an egg is released from an ovary into the fallopian tube. In this analogy, the ovary is like the airplane's cargo hold, the egg is your luggage, and the fallopian tube is the carousel where the egg awaits its next journey.
