Temperature

How hot or cold something is, it is determined by the kinetic energy of its particles
Real World Example
Imagine you're at a busy intersection, and the traffic flow determines how quickly you can get to your destination. In the same way, the temperature of an object tells us how quickly or slowly the particles within it are moving, just like the flow of traffic. Just as a faster flow of cars means you'll reach your destination more quickly, a higher temperature means the particles have more kinetic energy and are moving more rapidly, while a slower flow of cars, like a lower temperature, indicates less energy and slower movement.
