Sunspot

A spot on the Sun which appears darker because it is not as hot as other areas

Real World Example

Imagine you're baking a batch of cookies, and one cookie comes out a little undercooked, appearing paler and softer than the rest. This cookie is like a sunspot on the Sun, which appears darker because it's not as hot as the surrounding areas. Just as the undercooked cookie doesn't reach the same temperature or appearance as the others, a sunspot is cooler and therefore looks darker compared to the hotter, brighter surface around it.
