Gas Giant

A large planet made up mostly of gases, like Jupiter or Saturn

Real World Example

Imagine trying to blow up a giant balloon for a birthday party, only to realize that it's mostly filled with air and just a thin layer of rubber on the outside. This scenario is similar to a gas giant, which, like the balloon, is composed mostly of gases, with only a small core of solid material. Just as the balloon's impressive size is due to the air inside it, a gas giant's massive appearance is largely due to its vast atmosphere of hydrogen and helium gases, enveloping any small solid core it might have.
