Cone Cells

The retina cells that work in bright light, and help us see color
Real World Example
Imagine trying to find your favorite shirt in a dimly lit closet. Just as you need bright light to see the different colors of your clothes clearly, your eyes rely on cone cells to perceive colors in bright light. The connection here is that just as the light in the closet lets you distinguish between a red shirt and a blue one, the cone cells in your retina enable you to see and differentiate colors when there's enough light.
