Turbidity Tube

A device for measuring turbidity, the haziness of a fluid, in shallow waters

Real World Example

Imagine you're trying to find your favorite book in a dimly lit room filled with dust. Just like the dust in the air makes it harder for you to see clearly, turbidity refers to the cloudiness or haziness in water that makes it difficult to see through. The turbidity tube works like a flashlight in that dusty room, helping us measure how much "dust" or particles are floating in the water by determining how far down we can see clearly, similarly to how better lighting helps you find your book.
