Ultranationalism

Extreme nationalism that promotes the interest of one state or people above all others
Real World Example
Ultranationalism is an extreme form of nationalism where a country or group believes their interests and culture are superior to all others. In the period from 1910-1939, ultranationalism was significant because it fueled aggressive policies and conflicts, including World War II, as countries prioritized their own power and expansion. It responded to problems like economic struggles and political instability, offering people a sense of unity and purpose but often at the expense of others. Today, ultranationalism still matters because it can lead to division and conflict, seen in instances where groups prioritize their identity and beliefs over cooperation and understanding. An example is when communities clash over immigration policies, with some people fearing that newcomers will threaten their way of life, leading to tension and discrimination.
