Guard Cell

One of a pair of cells that open and close plant stoma, to control gas exchange
Real World Example
Imagine trying to keep your house at the perfect temperature by opening or closing windows depending on the weather outside. This is similar to how guard cells function in plants, as they regulate the opening and closing of stomata to control gas exchange. Just as you adjust the windows to maintain a comfortable indoor environment, guard cells adjust the stomata to balance the intake of carbon dioxide and the release of oxygen and water vapor, ensuring the plant remains healthy and functional.
