A fraction equal to the number of moles of a component, divided by the total number of moles in a solution
Real World Example
Imagine you're trying to figure out how much of your favorite ingredient is in a big pot of mixed vegetable stew. This is similar to the concept of mole fraction in a solution, where you determine how much of one component is present compared to the entire solution. Just like you would count the pieces of your favorite vegetable and divide by the total vegetables to understand its share in the stew, mole fraction involves counting the number of moles of a specific component and dividing by the total moles in the solution to find its proportion.
