The SI unit of energy, also known as the Newton-meter
Real World Example
Imagine trying to open a stubborn jar lid that just won’t budge. Just like using force to twist and turn that jar lid open, a joule measures the energy used when applying force over a distance. In this analogy, the force you exert on the jar lid represents the "Newton" part, and the distance you turn the lid is the "meter," together making up the Newton-meter or joule, which quantifies the energy expended in overcoming resistance.
