A fluid's resistance to flowing

Real World Example

Imagine trying to walk through a crowded concert where everyone is packed tightly together. Just like the difficulty you experience moving through the crowd, viscosity describes how a fluid resists flowing. In this analogy, the concertgoers are like the molecules in a fluid; in a thick fluid with high viscosity, the molecules are closely packed and resist movement, much like you trying to navigate through the dense crowd.
