Polar Molecule

A molecule with a negative end and a positive end, due to unequally distributed electrons

Real World Example

Imagine trying to carry a heavy grocery bag with one hand, feeling all the weight pulling you to one side. This scenario is similar to a polar molecule, where the electrons are unevenly distributed, causing one end to be negatively charged and the other positively charged. Just as the weight imbalance in the bag creates a pull in one direction, the unequal electron distribution in a polar molecule creates a dipole moment, with one side attracting more electrons and becoming negatively charged while the opposite side becomes positively charged.
