Insulator

A material that does not let electricity pass through easily

Real World Example

Imagine trying to talk to a friend on the other side of a thick, soundproof wall. Just like sound can't easily pass through the wall, electricity can't easily pass through an insulator. In this analogy, the thick, soundproof wall represents the insulator, your voice is like the electrical current, and the difficulty your voice has in getting through the wall mirrors how electricity struggles to pass through insulating materials.
