A circuit in which there is a single path for current to follow

Real World Example

Imagine you're at a theme park and there's only one roller coaster track that everyone has to take to experience the ride. This is similar to a series circuit where there is only one path for the electric current to follow. Just like how each person must wait their turn to ride the roller coaster on that single track, in a series circuit, the electrical current has to pass through each component one after the other, much like a continuous line of passengers waiting to board the same ride.
