Transpiration

The loss of water vapor through the stomata in a plant’s leaves

Real World Example

Imagine you're at a crowded party, trying to keep cool by sipping on your drink, but the room is so packed and warm that you start to sweat. Much like how your body releases sweat to cool down, plants release water vapor through tiny openings called stomata to regulate their temperature and maintain nutrient flow. The crowded party is like the warm environment around the plant, your body's sweat is akin to the plant's transpiration, and just as you release moisture to cool off, plants lose water vapor to keep themselves stable and functioning efficiently.
