Real World Example

Imagine trying to reach your favorite TV channel by skipping directly to it without flipping through the other channels. This is similar to sublimation, where a substance transitions directly from a solid to a gas without passing through the liquid state. Just as you skip over unnecessary channels to get straight to your show, in sublimation, a solid skips the liquid phase and goes straight to gas, avoiding the "middle step" entirely.
